Six Things to Know Before Your Visit

No elaborate preparation is needed. Allow a little time before your appointment, tell us about anything important and let your own comfort guide you.

Arrive a Little Early

Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before your appointment. This gives you time to check in, change and discuss your preferences without rushing.

There Is Nothing Special to Bring

The salon will prepare a robe, disposable underwear, slippers and everything needed for your chosen programme.

Avoid a Heavy Meal Just Beforehand

Do not plan a large meal immediately before your treatment. Avoid alcohol before your visit too.

Tell Us About Your Health

Inform our reception team in advance if you are pregnant, have allergies, a recent injury or surgery, a high temperature or a flare-up of a chronic condition.

Put Your Phone on Silent

This helps you switch off and keeps the atmosphere peaceful for other guests.

Tell Us How You Feel

You can ask for a change in pressure, request that an area is avoided, take a break or stop the treatment.

Before your visit

Preparing for a Massage or Spa Programme

You do not need to understand every technique in advance. Our reception team will help you choose around your goals, preferred pressure and the time you have.

01

When You Book

Tell us whether this is your first Thai massage, what you would like from your visit and whether you prefer gentle, medium or more intensive pressure. Let us know in advance about areas that need attention or that you do not want touched.

02

Clothing and Personal Belongings

Wear whatever is comfortable for your journey to the salon. A robe, disposable underwear and slippers are provided for your programme. Remove large jewellery and your watch before the treatment, and leave particularly valuable items at home where possible.

03

Food and Alcohol

Avoid a heavy meal immediately before a massage or spa programme. We cannot provide a treatment to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

04

Health and Contraindications

Before your visit, tell our reception team if you are pregnant, have allergies to oils or cosmetics, a high temperature or acute illness, a recent injury or operation, or a flare-up of a chronic condition. If you are unsure whether massage or a particular programme is suitable, consult your doctor beforehand. Massage and spa treatments do not replace medical care.

Your time to relax

Your Visit to GRANDTHAI, Step by Step

We explain the sequence in advance so you can take your time and focus on your experience.

  1. 01

    Welcome

Our reception team confirms your appointment, helps you choose a programme if needed and answers your questions.

  2. 02

    Preferences and Preparation

Tell us about areas of tension, your preferred pressure and relevant health considerations. We then provide a robe, disposable underwear, slippers and everything else you need.

  3. 03

    Foot-Washing Ritual

Your ritual begins with foot washing — a calm transition from the city’s pace to relaxation.

  4. 04

    Massage or Spa Programme

Your therapist follows the chosen programme and takes your preferences into account. The pressure can be adjusted at any time.

  5. 05

    Tea Ceremony

After your treatment, take your time and finish your visit with tea in GRANDTHAI’s calm atmosphere.

Your comfort matters

It Is Always Fine to Say How You Feel

Massage should not be an endurance test. Even after you have discussed your preferences, you can change them during the session.

Tell Your Therapist or Our Reception Team If:

  • The pressure feels too strong or too light.
  • An area needs more attention or should be avoided.
  • Your position feels uncomfortable.
  • You need a break.
  • You feel dizzy, experience pain or feel unwell in another way.
  • You would like to finish the treatment early.

You Set Your Own Boundaries

You can decline work on any area and do not have to tolerate discomfort. If you find it difficult to explain a preference to your therapist, ask to speak to our reception team. Any treatment can be paused.

Calm and safety

A Space for Mutual Respect

GRANDTHAI provides professional Thai massage and spa treatments. We ask guests and team members to speak respectfully, keep voices low and protect one another’s time to relax.

  • your phone on silent and avoid loud conversations.
  • not smoke or drink alcohol on the premises.
  • does not provide sexual or erotic services.
  • propositions, touching, insults, threats and aggressive behaviour are not acceptable.
  • personal boundaries are violated, the therapist may stop the treatment and the reception team may end the service.

These rules protect both guests and therapists and preserve the atmosphere people come to GRANDTHAI to enjoy.

Practical arrangements

Running Late or Changing Your Plans?

If you are delayed, call our reception team as early as possible. We will try to keep your programme complete, but if another guest is booked after you, your treatment may need to be shortened to avoid delaying their appointment and to allow time to prepare the room.

If you cannot attend, let us know about cancellation or rescheduling as soon as possible. Our reception team confirms the exact terms for prepaid appointments, gift certificates, massage passes and prepaid spa credit when you book.

After your treatment

Leave a Few Minutes for Tea and Rest

A tea ceremony follows your massage or spa programme. Allow a little time to finish your visit calmly rather than rush straight back to your day. If oils or cosmetic products were used, ask your therapist or our reception team about any individual aftercare guidance.
